This code is the same in all scales; therefore, for security reasons, it is advised that you
configure theft protection with your own code and keep that code in a safe place.
If the theft protection is
deactivated
, you can restart and operate the scale after a power
outage
without
having to enter the anti-theft code.
If the theft protection is
activated
, the scale requires you to enter the code after each
power outage. If the code is entered incorrectly, the instrument is locked: you must
disconnect it from the power supply, reconnect it, and then unlock it by entering the
correct code.
Whether or not theft protection is active, you must enter your anti-theft code (or the
factory default code) to access the Theft protection screen.
WARNING!
After seven consecutive incorrect entries, the display reads
NO ACCESS, CALL SERVICE
.
In this situation, only Parata Systems Customer Care can unlock the instrument again.
Table 4-7 provides an explanation of each Theft protection option with all possible
values (default settings are shown in
bold text
)
NOTE
Neither the theft protection status nor the anti-theft code changes when you reset the
device to the factory default settings.
