5.3 Backing up the drug database to a PC

Another function included in the Drug Info Download tool is transferring the
database stored in the scale back to a connected PC. In this way, a backup can be made
at any time, of either the User or Standard libraries.

CAUTION

Parata recommends that you make regular backups of your user database to prevent
data loss.

To backup the existing drug database to a PC

If you have not done so already, perform the procedure in “Installing the Drug Info Download
tool” on page 5-2.

If you have not done so already, perform the procedure in “Preparing the scale for the drug
database update” on page 5-5.

On the PC, double-click the Drug Info Download tool icon on the Desktop or on the
Start Menu.

The Drug Info Download tool opens.
