5.2 Updating the drug database

Parata periodically releases updates for the AccuCount II drug database. You can
update the drug database in your scale by following the procedures in this section:

• Install the Drug Info Download tool.

• Prepare the scale.

• Transfer the new database to the scale.

5.2.1 Installing the Drug Info Download tool

You must use a special application, called the Drug Info Download tool, to update the
AccuCount II drug database.

To install the Drug Info Download tool

Insert the AccuCount II Upload/Download Utilities CD into the optical drive of the PC from
which you want to perform the update.

Navigate to the Universal Download tool folder on the CD and double-click the
415-

DrugInfoDownload Installer.exe file to start the install process.

On the Welcome screen that appears, click

Optional:

On the Select Destination Location screen, click

Browse

to select the path where you

want to install the program.
