Chapter 4 – Customization
Each of the 24 positions in Protocol may be assigned one of the options shown in
Table 4-39.
All positions OFF To set all of the positions in the application’s Protocol to Off :
1 Press the Enter soft key to select Set .
The scale displays the Set all Positions off? prompt.
2 Press the Yes soft key to confirm the reset;
or press the Cancel soft key to back out.
Set default settings To restore the factory default settings for all positions in
the Protocol:

Press the Enter soft key to select Set .
CAUTION The scale immediately restores the default settings,
without prompting you to confirm!
Free HEX lines Defines the hexadecimal lines for use only with the application.
Free HEX lines work the same as those described in “Protocol -
Header/Footer - Free HEX lines” on page 4-21, but these free HEX lines
only apply to the application-specific Protocol.

Off Position not used (i.e., no output).
Current value Outputs the current value in the main display.
...: PcsWgt Outputs the piece weight of a single item (i.e., the average of the
sampled pieces).
NOTE: Only available for the Piece Counting application.
...: RefPcs Outputs the initial sample size that the user selected (i.e., 100).
NOTE: Only available for the Piece Counting application.
...: Tare Outputs the current tare value, in grams.
...: Net Outputs the net total weight that the scale is registering, in grams.
...: Gross Outputs the difference between the net weight and the tare, in grams.
