Chapter 3 – Operations

3.3.4 Non-Rx-Check Application

The Non-Rx-Check mode automatically prepares the AccuCount II to count the drug
when

only

the stock bottle UPC bar code is scanned and the programmed piece weight

is found. It does not ask you to scan a prescription NDC bar code. Otherwise, it
functions in the same manner as the Rx-Check application.

To use the Non-Rx-Check application

Select

Non-Rx-Check

from the Applications menu.

The scale prompts you to place the scoop on the pan and identify the drug.

Place the empty scoop or vial on the pan.

Use the scanner to scan the stock bottle UPC bar code.

The scale attempts to find the specified drug in its library.

If it finds the drug, skip ahead to step 13; otherwise, proceed to step 4.

The message

Drug not found!

appears.



If you mis-scanned the stock bottle, press the

Back

soft key to return to the previous step.



Otherwise, press the

Add

soft key.
