Chapter 3 – Operations
3.3 Applications menu
The AccuCount II has four main applications:
• Weighing
• Counting
• Rx-Check
• Non-Rx-Check
After the scale is powered on, the display shows the last application that you used.
To select an application

Press and hold the
Menu
key until the Home screen appears.

If necessary, press the
soft key to select the Applications menu.

Press the soft key below the application that you want to use.
3.3.1 Weighing application
In the Weighing application, the AccuCount II acts as a basic scale. It does not count
items, though it can perform statistical sampling and weight checking, print results,
and show Weighing application properties (see “Weighing menu” on page 4-31).
NOTE
Before selecting the Weighing application, remove all items from the pan.
3.3.1.a
Tare
Tare allows you to “subtract” the weight of the item/compound on the pan. This is best
used when you need to add a specific amount of weight to ingredients already on the
pan, or when you are using a scoop or compounding plate.
