The test cycle is designed to check oven performance and operation.
Perform this cycle during the initial oven set-up and then every seven
days. Run this test should on a cold oven (room temperature). The test
will record the last date the test was run.
The total cycle will last for 45 minutes and uses only the IR lamps. The
screen will list three columns of numbers: the actual wattage, the actual
temperature, and the setpoint temperature.
At the end of the cycle, the computer compares the actual temperatures
to the setpoint temperatures. If these temperatures are within
±
15
_
of
the setpoint, then the actual temperatures will appear green. Otherwise,
they appear yellow. If any temperatures appear yellow at the end of 45
minutes, a message appears notifying the operator of an error. This
message can appear in several situations:
1. Exhaust system changes—Exhaust blower may be faulty or blocked.
Damper may have been moved.
2. A cover has been removed from the oven.
3. Some of the lamps are not functioning.
4. The supply air filter is clogged.
5. The memory chips (RAM) have been removed from battery socket.
6. New installation—Upon installation, perform a Thermocouple Test
Cycle (TTC) to verify the set-up. If the exhaust system is not
functioning properly, the oven will display an INADEQUATE
EXHAUSTING error message.
If a thermocouple is malfunctioning, the Thermocouple Failure window
will appear. Refer to the
Troubleshooting section for more information.
In the event of an inadequate exhaust warning, adjust the exhaust
system to the proper level using the slide gate damper and continue to
run the test cycle. Let the test cycle run for about 15 minutes after each
change. After this time period, check to see if the actual temperatures
have all turned green. If they have, you are ready to proceed with the
processing. As a general rule, if the actual temperatures are, on the
average, lower than the setpoints, then decrease the exhaust volume. If
they are higher, then increase the exhaust volume slightly.
