Manual 12-44

Follow these procedures to replace the drive sprocket. See Figure C 4-5.

1. Remove the lower cooling access covers.

2. Loosen the set screw on the square product support conveyor drive

shaft that is located below the fixed rail by using a long handled hex
wrench.

3. Remove the locking collar and spacer from the hinge side and slide

the square shaft out until the product support conveyor drive sprocket
is free. Clean any accumulation of dirt or flux off of this shaft. Inspect
the shaft for any nicks or burrs that should be removed.

4. Install the new sprocket in the opposite order.

5. Make sure you install a spacer on the shaft before installing the

locking collar. The spacer keeps the locking collar from touching the
bearing housing.

6. After tightening the locking collar on the square shaft, make sure

there is no side to side motion.

7. Replace the rollers and graphite bushings.

NOTE: All graphite bushings have washers on both sides. It is
important that the washers remain in place.
