1. Six inch exhaust duct

2. Conversion to eight inch duct

3. Slide gate adjustment damper

Blower Requirements

The size of the exhaust blower required depends on the following factors:

S

the duct diameter

S

the number of bends

S

the length of the duct run

A well-designed exhaust system will require a relatively small blower to
achieve the required airflow. To keep noise to a minimum, mount the
blower outside, on the roof or wall. Provide a shelter to protect the
blower from the weather. If you mount the blower inside, the outlet
should be rectangular duct leading to the outside.
