Problem Possible Cause Corrective Action
1. No power Proper power may not be reaching the
system Verify the incoming power using a
voltmeter. Make sure the incoming power
compares to the power requirements of the
system. If it does not, or if power dips and
surges are present, the failure is outside
the system.
Main breaker may have opened NOTE: Make sure the power is off.
Observe local Lock Out Tag Out
procedures.
Check the electrical system with an ohm
meter for possible shorts.

If a short is located
Repair or replace the component.
(i.e., wiring, loose connection, etc.)

If no short is located
Reset the main breaker and resume
operation.
Three-phase transformer or related
circuitry is not working properly Incoming voltage is not correct. Verify
primary wiring configuration-vs-schematic.

Incorrect voltages Complete an

Power supply failure Measure for 5.25 Vdc from the power
supply. If this is not present, disconnect
the incoming power cord from the 5 volt
supply and use a volt meter to measure for
120 Vac at the cord.
