in the Arranger:

If a Scene has been manually shortened, only the visible part of the Clip within the set
length will be audible.

Clips always start at the beginning of the Scene.
As a notable consequence, whatever you do in the Arranger, your Patterns stay un-
touched — with one exception: When you double-click a Clip, you can enter a name that
will be saved to the referenced Pattern. See
