Printing-related troubleshooting
Noise occurs while the table
moves up and down.
/ Table does not move and
noise is present.
Do you perform table maintenance as instructed?
‐ Apply lubricating grease on the table screw shaft.
Did you place a small and heavy media or jig on either end of the table?
‐ If you are using those items, place it as close to the center of the table as possible.
Do items on the table exceed 6 kg?
‐ The maximum weight on the table is 6 kg.
Remove items on the table and reboot the printer.
‐ If the problem still persists, please contact your local Mutoh dealer.
Perform this maintenance once a month.

Smears constantly appear
on the print and noise occurs.
Is an obstacle or dirt present on the table rail?
‐ Check on the table rail and clean it.
‐ If noise still persists, please contact your local Mutoh dealer.
Is the media loaded on the correct position?
‐ Go to the Show Edges menu to check the printing area by LED pointer.
Did the printer start printing from the correct position?
‐ Go to the Show Edges menu to check the print start position by LED pointer.
To check the printing area before printing, go to “**>7: Show Edges” and select “Step” or “Auto”.
The printer does not print.
Is Ethernet cable connected correctly?
‐ Securely connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet Port.
Is there any error message displayed on VSM?
‐ Go to the Printer Status tab in VSM and check that if any error message is displayed in
the Status Information.
The printing position is
incorrect (some parts of
the media cannot be
printed on).
