Emptying waste ink tank 97

Drain waste fluid into container

[1]

Prepare a container like PET bottle to drain the waste fluid.

Important!

The capacity of waste ink tank is 1,400 ml. Make sure to prepare a container that has enough capacity when discharging waste

fluid.

Make sure to completely empty the waste ink tank.

If not, the waste ink counter cannot count the waste fluid level correctly and it can lead waste fluid leaks inside or from the printer.

Hold both sides of the light-blocking cover, and open it.

Pull out the waste ink tube.

[4]

• Insert the waste ink tube into a container.

• Turn the hand valve as shown in the figure left to drain the waste

fluid.

• Drain waste fluid into the container.

• After emptying the waste ink tank, return the hand valve to the

original position.

•

Return the waste ink tube to the original position.

While inserting the light-blocking cover’s knob into the printer’s slot,

close the light blocking cover.
