Transmission shaft removal and disassembly:
• After having removed the secondary and main shafts,
position the gearbox cover on the special tool (code 01
91 25 30);
• Using a universal extracting tool, commercially
available, remove the bearing bushing and the lead nut
“A” from the transmission shaft;
• Remove the gearbox cover from the support tool and
lock it in a vice, as illustrated in the figure;
N.B.
Always use aluminium jaws in order not to
damage the cover
• Use tool “B” (code 01 96 63 30) to compress the
Belleville springs “E”;
• Slide out the half-rests “C” from the transmission shaft,
loosen tool “B”, and remove it;
• Remove the shim “D”, the Belleville springs “E” and the
flexible couplings “F”;
• Slide out the transmission shaft “G”;
• Remove the bearing “H” and the gearing “I” from the
opposite side of the housing;
• Slide out the sleeve for the flexible couplings “L”.
