Unlocking a password (Pr. 296, Pr. 297)
There are two ways of unlocking the password.

Enter the password in Pr. 297. If the password matches, it unlocks. If the password does not match,
an error occurs and the password does not unlock. When any of "100 to 106, or 199" is set in Pr. 296
and a password unlock error occurs five times, the restriction will not be unlocked even if the
correct password is subsequently input. (Password lock in operation.)

Perform all parameter clear.
NOTES If the password is forgotten, it can be unlocked with all parameter clear, but doing so will also clear
the other parameters.
All parameter clear cannot be performed during the operation.
During the conditions where parameter reading is disabled (Pr. 296 = any of "0, 4, 5, 99, 100, 104,
105, or 199"), do not use FR Configurator2. It may not operate correctly.
The password unlocking method differs between the operation panel, parameter unit, RS-485
communication and communication option.
For the parameter clear and parameter all clear methods for the communication option and param-
eter unit, refer to the Instruction Manual of each option. (For the operation panel (FR-DU08), refer to
page 5-568, for the Mitsubishi inverter protocol of RS-485 communication, refer to page 5-469, and
for the MODBUS® RTU communication protocol, refer to page 5-488.)
