to 11 (phase displacement is calculated as

Selection of transformer vector group depends on different factors:

- Parallel operations:

All transformers should have same vector

group & polarity of the winding

- Removing harmonics: Dy vector group

– y winding nullifies the 3rd

harmonics

- Earth fault Relay: z or y vector group on secondary side should be used

with neutral and possible earth fault relay

- Type of transformer application: power export transformers (Dy), power

export import transformer (Yy). Yd or Dy connection is standard
connection used in practice

Metrel instrument MI3280 offers transformer winding resistance and turn ratio
measurement for single and three phase’s transformers.
