Remove the upper rack.
• Hold both sides of the upper rack when removing,
as shown in the illustration.
Be careful not to scratch
or damage the heat-
developer drum with the
upper rack when
removing.

Check that the surface of the unwoven cleaner
cloth is not wavy.
• If it is found wavy, remove the waviness according
to the procedure described in "2.4.8 Adjusting the
Cleaner Unwoven Cloth".
Be careful not to touch
or scratch the surface of
the heat-developer
drum when replacing.
Do not set down the
heat developer drum
after removal of the
protective sheet: any
scratches on the
surface of the drum will
adversely affect output
images.

Slightly lift up (15mm) the front of the heat
process drum shaft.

Remove the cushioning sheet (mirror matte)
protecting the drum.

Position the heat process drum at its original
position.

After having checked the surface is not wavy,
immediately attach the upper rack and the heat
process unit cover.
• Be careful not to damage the heat processing
drum when installing the upper rack, etc.
• Proceed to "2.4.9 Attaching the Outer Covers".
