2.4.7 Removing Protective Sheet from Heat Roller
Following the removal of the protection films for transport rollers at the exposure unit, remove
each of 14 x 14in film and cushioning sheet (mirror matte).

Remove the three screws securing the cover at
the top of rear panel, and remove the rear cover.

Remove the two upper screws securing each of
the left and right panel covers and the two upper
screw securing the rear panel cover and remove
the top cover.
• Removal of the two screws at the top of the left
and right panels and the two upper screw securing
the rear cover will loosen the side panel cover
allowing removal of the top cover.
The left and right edges
of the cover at the top
of the rear panel are
meshed with the left
and right side panel
covers. The cover can
be removed by bending
slightly.

Take out the four screws (two each at front and
back) securing the heat process unit cover and
remove the cover.
• Hold both sides of the heat process unit cover
when removing, as shown in the illustration.
Removal of the heat
process unit cover may
be eased by slightly
pulling the right panel
cover.

Remove the one screws and remove the cover
covering the front of the heat process unit.
The heat-developer
drum shaft cover is
attached to the heat
process unit cover at
the rear of the main
body. This axis cover is
only latched onto the
unit cover: be careful
not to forget to replace
the axis cover when
setting the unit cover
back in place.
The screw securing the
heat process unit cover
can be loosened, but
mechanically not
detachable.
