Adjusting the receiver sensitivity for the PI50 and PI60
Receiver Units

The parameter used to adjust the receiver sensitivity is the

Detection Threshold (DT).

This

parameter is used to control the threshold level for detection of signals. The

Receiver

dialog box allows you to set up the detailed parameters for the signal reception.

Prerequisites

The

Receiver

dialog box is only available when you have set up a serial line

communication with a sensor receiver.

Context

Each receiver must be able to accept and recognize the data from the catch monitoring
sensors. However, sea conditions will vary, sometimes drastically. The acoustic
conditions are also changing.

Procedure

Open the

Setup

menu.

On the

Setup

menu, select

Installation

.

Observe that the

Installation

dialog box opens.

Observe the

I/O Setup

page on the right side of the

Installation

dialog box.

Every interface is presented as a small "block diagram".

On the relevant serial line communication, select the receiver icon.
