Configuring and setting up the catch monitoring sensors
for different measurements
Catch monitoring sensors are delivered from Kongsberg Maritime readily set up
with common default settings. Each individual sensor can be configured to specify
its communication channel, which measurements to make and some other relevant
operating parameters.
Prerequisites
This procedure assumes that a suitable receiver unit has been connected to the Processor
Unit, and that all relevant communication parameters have been defined.
This procedure assumes that a sensor is connected to the computer with the configuration
cable.
Context
This procedure applies to the following catch monitoring sensors:
• PX MultiSensor Mk2
• PX MultiCatch
• PX Universal
• PX Flow
The configuration parameters available in the relevant configuration dialog boxes allow
you to set up which measurements the sensor shall make and which communication
channels it shall use for these measurements.
By default, PX MultiSensor Mk2, PX Universal, PX MultiCatch and PX Flow sensors
can make 2 measurements. When interfacing a SR type receiver unit, PX MultiSensor
Mk2, PX Universal and PX MultiCatch sensors can make up to five measurements.
The PX Flow sensor can make up to eight measurements. Remote functions are not
considered as a measurement.
