Installing Power Pass-Through
WARNING:
Assembly of all
mechanical frame components
must be completed before
making any electrical
connections. All electrically
connected furnishings must also
be mechanically connected.
Power Pass-Throughs (PPT) are
used in place of rigid wireways to
continue power through panels
that will never need to have
receptacles installed in them.
Note:
• The 24”-60” PPTs are the same
length as a corresponding rigid
wireway and have connection
sockets on each end.
• The 36”-60” PPTs feature flexible
steel conduit in the middle
section.
• The 24” and 30” PPTs feature
steel “clamshells” in the middle
section.
• The 12” and 18” PPTs feature
flexible steel conduit in the
middle with a connection socket
on one end and a connection
plug on the other end
(Figure 37).
• PPTs connect to adjacent
electrical components using
horizontal jumpers the same
way rigid wireways connect (see
page 16).
• PPTs do not physically attach to
the panel framework. They simply
rest in the base cover or the
horizontal member.
24”-60” PPT Installation
1. Orient the PPT so the
N
symbol is pointing up.
2. Connect the PPT to adjacent
rigid wireways or PPTs using
the appropriate horizontal
jumper and the usual connection
procedure.
