Assembly Instructions
Assemble units as described herein only. To do otherwise
may result in instability. All screws, nuts and bolts must be
tightened securely and must be checked periodically after
assembly. Failure to assemble properly, or to secure parts
may result in assembly failure and personal injury.
Installing Universal Base
Infeed
WARNING: Assembly of all
mechanical frame components
must be completed before
making any electrical
connections. All electrically
connected furnishings must also
be mechanically connected.
Right-Hand Installation
1. Install the base module
(receptacle portion) of the
non-handed universal base
infeed into the rigid wireway as
shown (Figure 31). Use the same
procedure you use for installing a
receptacle. (See page 18)
2. Install the base raceway door
onto the panel (Figure 31).
3. Plug the pluggable portion into
the base module by pushing it
into the face and raising the lock
strap up in the unlatched position
(Figure 31).
4. When the pluggable portion is
fully seated into the base module,
the lock strap must be pushed
down to latch the assembly
together (Figure 31).
5. Install the universal base infeed
cover with the screw provided
(Figure 31).
Left-Hand Installation
1. Follow steps as outlined
in Figure 31, except rotate
pluggable portion and cover 180°
as shown in Figure 32.
