OPERATION 6
6.3 PROCEDURE FOR OPERATION__________________________________________
1. You must not start the engine without the operator in the seat on the tractor.
2. Do not operate the tractor and attachments with loose or damaged components. All components must
be included on the tractor. To get the best results, grass must be cut in dry conditions.
3. First cut in a test area so that you completely understand the operation of the tractor and controls.
4. Inspect the area and find the safest procedure for the vehicle. Check the height of the grass, the type of
terrain and the condition of the surface. Each area condition needs the applicable adjustments and
precautions.
5. The hazard area in front and behind the machine is 8 metres and 2 metres at each side. Before driving
off, operating or lowering the cutting units always check the hazard area. Make sure that you have an
adequate view around this machine,
DO NOT commence work until the hazard area is clear of people,
animals or objects.
6. Objects or parts could be ejected from the machine at high speed in certain circumstances. The hazard
area particularly in front or behind the machine
MUST remain clear. The owner/operator is responsible
for injuries caused to persons near the machine and any damage to their property.
7. Be careful when you cut surfaces that are near to gravel areas (roadway, parking areas, cart paths).
Stones released from the equipment can cause injuries to persons and damage the equipment.
8. When you move across the roads or paths, disengage the cutter motors and lift the equipment. Check
for the traffic when you drive on the roads.
9. If you hit an obstruction or if the machine causes vibration that is not normal, stop and inspect the
equipment for damage immediately. Repair damaged equipment before operation is continued.
10. If components are not included on the vehicle or equipment is loose and damaged, do not operate the
tractor and attachments.
CAUTION
To prevent injury, always wear the safety glasses, leather work shoes or boots, a hard hat and ear
protection.
CAUTION
Remove all dangerous material from the area before you cut the grass. Enter a new area carefully and
always operate at speeds that allow you to control the mower safely.
CAUTION
Before you clean, adjust or repair this equipment, always disengage all drives and lower all equipment to
the ground. Engage the parking brake, stop the engine and remove the key from the ignition switch to
prevent injuries.
WARNING
DO NOT USE ON SLOPES GREATER THAN 17° with ROPS.
DO NOT USE ON SLOPES GREATER THAN 15° with Cab
CAUTION
Always inspect the cutting units before use to ensure that the front stone impact
protection device is parallel to the ground before use.
