Checking the fluid level of the hydraulic clutch
Info
The fluid level rises with increasing wear of the clutch lining disks.
Do not use brake fluid.

Move the clutch fluid reservoir mounted on the handlebar to a horizontal position.

Remove screws


Remove cover

with membrane


–
Check the fluid level.
Fluid level under top level of container 4 mm (0.16 in)
» If the level of the fluid does not meet specifications:
–
Correct the fluid level of the hydraulic clutch.
Hydraulic oil (15) ( p. 263)

Position the cover with the membrane. Mount and tighten the screws.

Changing the hydraulic clutch fluid

Hazardous substances cause environmental damage.

Oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaners, brake fluid, etc., should be disposed of as stipulated in applicable regulations.

Remove screws


Remove cover

with membrane


. Lift off the engine sprocket cover at the front and carefully
remove clutch slave cylinder


Info
Do not activate the clutch lever if the clutch slave cylinder has been
removed.

Remove O-ring

and seal


Fill bleeding syringe

with the appropriate hydraulic fluid.

Hydraulic oil (15) ( p. 263)
–
On the clutch slave cylinder, remove the bleeder screw and mount the bleeding
syringe.
