Softkey in the
menu. This softkey turns on a power sweep
mode that is used to characterize power-sensitive circuits. In this
mode, power is swept at a single frequency. The start- and stop-power
values are selectable under the
key. This feature is
convenient for such measurements as gain compression or automatic
gain control (AGC) slope.
Power sweep is independent of level. Use this function with frequency
CW mode only.
For instruments with an attenuator (Option 1E1) installed: the span of
the swept power is limited to being equal to or within one of the seven
pre-defined power ranges.
Hardkey in the SYSTEM area. Displays softkeys that allow you to
choose between a factory preset state or a user-defined preset state.
See
Chapter 11, “Factory Preset State and Memory Allocation,”
complete list of factory preset state default parameters. See
, later in this chapter, for an explanation of a
user-defined preset state.
can also be used in the event that your analyzer system
locks up, or you receive an "Unrecoverable error." If this should
happen, cycle the power on the analyzer, and press the
key
several times while the analyzer is booting up. (The
key
must be pressed at least twice after you hear the double beep). Then,
follow the on-screen instructions. This procedure clears all information
in non-volatile memory, including calibrations.
Softkey in the mod kit save/recall menu. Presets all of the User Cal
Kits to the type-N(f) calibration kit. This reduces the size of your saved
instrument state since user-defined calibration kits (Cal Kits A–J)
aren’t included in the saved information.
See
“Calibration Kits” on page 6-16
for more information.
