6.2.3 Parking
DANGER
Serious accidents from loss of stability!
Ø
Park the machine only on a level and firm ground.
Ø
Secure the machine with wheel chocks against rolling away before unhitch-
ing.
Ø Secure the machine with the parking brake against rolling away before un-
hitching.
Ø
When unhitching machines with pneumatic brake the red connection (supply
line) must always be disconnected first.
CAUTION
Damages to the machine
When the machine is parked while unfolded, the trap rollers rest on the ground and
may become damaged as a result.
Ø
Park the machine folded when idling it for extended periods.
NOTE
Ø
Clean the machine and prepare properly before parking it for an extended
period; see chapter
Care and Maintenance.
Ø
Thoroughly clean hopper and fertiliser equipment. Fertiliser is aggressive and
speeds up the corrosion process. It especially attacks galvanised components
like bolts.
Ø Clean all metering units.
Ø
Preferably park the drill in a shed so that no moisture can accumulate in hop-
per, metering units and the seed hoses.
1. Apply the tractor brake.
2. Secure the machine with wheel chocks against rolling away. Position the
wheel chocks under the side of the tyres pointing to the downward slope.
3. Apply the parking brake (option).
4. Parking outdoors:
• Unfolding the machine.
Otherwise there is a risk that water may run through e.g. the downpipes
into the metering units and other components.
• Disassemble the trap rollers or support the frame.
• For this purpose, insert the aluminium clips on the hydraulic cylinders of
the lift hydraulics and at the support wheels.
• Lower the seed bar.
5. Parking under a roof:
• The machine can be parked in folded condition.
6. Disconnect the hydraulic connections and hook into bracket devices.
