1
Inspecting the
vehicle wire
harness
1. Set the starter key to the
"LOCK" position and wait for
approximately 3 hours. (To
make the motor temperature
equivalent to the ambient tem-
perature)
2. Disconnect the PCU harness
(12P) connector.
3. Using the electrical tester, mea-
sure the resistance between
the terminals of PCU harness
(12P) vehicle-side connector.
<Measurement conditions>
•
Starter key: LOCK
•
Motor temperature: Equivalent
to the ambient temperature
<Tester connections>
PCU harness (12P) vehicle-side
connector
4th terminal – 8th terminal
<Standard values>
16.18 – 184.1 k
(0 – 50 °C {32 – 122 °F})
The mea-
sured value is
within the
range of stan-
dard value: Go
to YES.
The mea-
sured value is
not within the
range of stan-
dard value: Go
to NO.
Go to step 4.
Go to step 2.
2
Inspecting the
motor temper-
ature sensor
1. Disconnect the connector of
motor temperature sensor.
2. Using the electrical tester, mea-
sure the resistance between
the terminals of motor tempera-
ture sensor connector.
<Measurement conditions>
Starter key: LOCK
<Tester connections>
Motor temperature sensor con-
nector (sensor side)
1st terminal – 2nd terminal
<Standard values>
16.18 – 184.1 k
(0 – 50 °C {32 – 122 °F})
The mea-
sured value is
within the
range of stan-
dard value: Go
to YES.
The mea-
sured value is
not within the
range of stan-
dard value: Go
to NO.
Go to step 3.
Replace the
HV motor.
