Platelet Incubator Operation Manual
Problem
Possible Cause
Action
The incubator is
connected to power, but
the AC Power Failure
alarm is active.
The circuit breakers
have tripped or are not
seated correctly (applies
to all floor models
that are 115 V, and all
countertop models).
► Confirm that the circuit breakers are seated.
Push the circuit breakers to reset them if
necessary. If you cannot reset them, or they trip
again, contact a qualified service technician.
To locate circuit breakers for your model, see
Section 2.3, “Touring the rear.”
(Note: 115 V
countertop models only have one circuit breaker.)
The fuses have blown
(applies to all floor
models that are 230 V).
► Contact a qualified service technician.
There is no AC power to
the incubator.
► Verify that the power cord is connected
securely to the incubator and the outlet.
Tighten the connections if necessary.
► Verify that the outlet is operational and meets
the power requirements for the incubator.
Repair the original outlet or connect to a
different outlet if necessary.
A component is faulty or
internal connections are
loose.
► Contact a qualified service technician.
The Door Open alarm is
activating sporadically
(applies to i.Series
models only).
The Door Ajar Timeout
is set to zero, causing
the alarm to activate
immediately when the
door is opened (applies
to i.Series models only)
► Check the current setpoint for the Door Ajar
alarm. Change the setpoint if necessary. For
more information and instructions see Section
4.4.2, “Changing the setpoints for the door
open and power failure alarms.”
The doors are not
closing completely.
► Confirm that the doors are aligned. Contact a
qualified service technician if necessary.
The doors are closing
but not sealing
completely.
► Confirm that the door gasket seals completely.
Contact a qualified service technician if
necessary.
A component is faulty or
internal connections are
loose.
► Contact a qualified service technician.
The motion alarm is
active, but the agitator is
moving.
A Horizon Series
agitator is installed,
but the alarm for the
corresponding position
was not disabled.
►
Disable the motion alarm for that position. For
more information and instructions, see Section
4.4.3, “Changing the settings for motion
alarms.”
The i.Center monitoring
system is not receiving
motion information from
the agitator (applies
only to i.Series models
without a built-in
agitator).

On the incubator’s monitoring system, check
whether agitator information is being received.

“Viewing real-time agitation information.”
►
Verify that the I/O cable is connected securely
to the agitator and the corresponding port
in the incubator. Tighten the connections if
necessary.
A component is faulty or
