Preparing the alarm system on
Horizon Series incubators
NOTE:
This section only applies to Horizon Series models.
This section explains how to use the temperature controller to view and change alarm setpoints. It also
explains how to locate and set controls for delaying alarms and changing the volume of audible alarms.
5.1
Viewing and changing the setpoints for
temperature alarms
The monitoring and control system has alarms which activate if the temperature is too high or too low.
You can view and change the setpoints for these alarms using the temperature controller. The temperature
controller is located behind the control door on the front of the incubator.
Temperature controller display and buttons
The High Temperature alarm setpoint (AL.HI) specifies the temperature at which the High Temperature
Alarm should activate. If the temperature that is detected by the chamber probe is greater than or equal to
this value, the alarm activates. The default setpoint set by the factory is 24.0 °C.
The Low Temperature alarm setpoint (AL.LO) specifies the temperature at which the Low Temperature
Alarm should activate. If the temperature that is detected by the chamber probe is less than or equal to this
value, the alarm activates. The default setpoint set by the factory is 20.0 °C.
