Addressing alarm activation problems
Problem
Possible Cause
Action
The incubator is in an
alarm condition, but
alarms are not audible.
Audible alarms have
been muted.
►
Verify that audible alarms are not muted. For
i.Series models, if the time remaining on the
MUTE timer is greater than 5 minutes, change
the MUTE timer value to 5 minutes and wait
until the timer resets. For more information
and instructions, see Section 6.4, “Controlling
the sound for audible alarms.”
Audible alarms have
been disabled (applies to
Horizon Series models
only).

Verify that audible alarms are not disabled. For
more information and instructions, see Section
6.4.3, “Enabling and disabling alarms on
Horizon Series models.”
The volume is set too
low.

Check the volume and change it if necessary.

The alarm is not
communicated audibly,
only visually or through
the remote alarm
interface.

The incubator meets a
high or low temperature
alarm condition, but the
appropriate alarm is not
active.
The alarm setpoint was
changed.

Check the current setpoints for the alarms.

period for the alarm
