Installing the incubator
Recording identification informatio
For easy reference, write the model and serial number on the front of this manual. Many of the procedures in
this manual vary by model, and both the model and serial numbers are needed to provide efficient service.
Product information appears in two places on the incubator: on the Product Specification label, which is
located on the rear of the incubator below the power connector, and on a label located in the chamber.

3.3
Selecting an appropriate location
To optimize operation, the location for your incubator must meet the following requirements, as well as any
additional requirements specified for your organization:

A sturdy, level surface to provide support and proper movement, and to allow the doors to self-close
and the chamber to drain properly
►
Is clear of direct sunlight, high temperature sources, heating vents, and air conditioning vents
►
Countertop models only: Has a minimum of 4 in (10 cm) of space above and behind the incubator for
unobstructed ventilation
►
Floor models only: Has a minimum of 4 in (10 cm) of space on the left and right sides of the incubator
for unobstructed ventilation
►
Has access to a grounded outlet that meets the power requirements as listed on the Product
Specification label
►
Meets the limits that are specified for ambient temperature and relative humidity. For more
information, see
Section 9.3.4, “Operating conditions.”
