Platinum TV Fault and
Meter Log Reference
E.1 Introduction
For the Platinum Series TV transmitter, all data in the transmitter is either displayed via
the front panel plasma display, lights an LED or is sent to the parallel remote control
ports. Some of the fault reporting is done in the form of highlighting a button red, such
as most summary faults, but this fault will not usually show in a fault log on the
transmitter. However, when the data is sent out a serial port to a device such as the
eCDi™ the only way to represent a fault is through a name. The same issue applies to
Metering data. Therefore, this section is divided into 2 parts:

Fault Log Reference
•
Metering Log Reference
The Fault Log Reference is a group of tables that list all of the faults that can be
reported and logged on the eCDi™ for a Platinum Series TV transmitter. The faults are
divided into 2 tables by transmitter (Analog or Digital):
•
Table E-1, “Platinum Analog Fault Log Reference,” on page E-2
•
Table E-2, “PlatinumCD (Digital) Fault Log Reference,” on page E-4
The Metering Log Reference is a table that lists all of the Meter readings that can be
logged on the eCDi™ for a Platinum Series TV transmitter. The meter logs are divided
into 2 tables by transmitter (Analog or Digital):

Table E-3, “Platinum Analog Meter Log Reference,” on page E-6.
