Section 3 Operation

3.2

Logging In

To log in to the eCDi™ , open a browser window and type in the IP address of the
eCDi™ unit in the address box.

NOTE:

The network administrator may have assigned a domain name (via a DNS server
or a host file) to the eCDi™ . This would allow the use of a more user friendly
name, such as “ecdi.sitename”, instead of having to remember the IP address.
Contact the network administrator to see if this is available.

Once the connection is made the browser window will look like the one in Figure 3-1.
Type in your username and password (passwords are case sensitive), as set by the
network administrator in the eCDi™ configuration screens, and click Login. For
information on adding users, see "2.8 eCDi™ Configuration" on page 2-26, specifically
STEP 14, which describes how to add users.

If the login is successful, a browser window similar to the one in Figure 3-2 will open.
