2.8.2 Determining Cabinet Style
As of Mid year 2002, PA cabinets started to have the new new style PA module
combiner installed in place of the old style combiner. This is more of a hardware change
than electrical and in no way changes or effects performance. It does effect placement
of the PA and PS Modules in a 12 module configuration (see Figure 2-6 & Figure 2-9),
the module reject loads are placed behind the combiner instead of on the left side wall
and a new style reject load detector is used.

2.8.3 Installing Power Supplies
There is one switching power supply for every two RF Amplifiers. The switching
power supplies weigh about 35 pounds (16 kg) each. To install a power supply, rest the
rear of the supply on the runner, slide the supply in straight until it makes contact with
the blind connector in the rear. Firm pressure will seat the power supply into the
connector. Make sure the circuit breaker on the front of the supplies are all turned off at
this time. Although not required, the power supplies can be placed back into the same
position as tested in the factory. The Factory Test Data gives the location of each power
supply during final test based on serial number and slot number. The slot positions are
given in Figure 2-9. This information is also available in the Power Supply picture
detail in the GUI.
