Cabinet Controller
4.7.2.1
Reject Power Samples
The Reject Power samples from the reject loads enters the Cabinet Controller at J1 and
J2. This signal is a DC voltage proportional to the amount of reject power to indicate the
amount of phase imbalance, filtered to remove any noise and applied to U16 multiplex
chip. The samples are sent to a differential amplifier one at a time.
NOTE:
When measuring the reject power samples at the reject load with a multimeter,
the voltage will be higher than the voltage reported by the GUI screen. This is
because when the sample is selected by the multiplex chip to feed the micro, the
sample becomes loaded by the input of the differential amp at U11-2. The time
period that each sample is feeding the microprocessor (loaded) is very short, thus
the multimeter cannot accurately display this value.
4.7.2.2
PA Cabinet Power Samples
The Forward Power, Reflected Power and the Input Power samples are always feeding
differential amplifiers so their loading will always be present unlike the multiplexed
samples. These power samples are sent to the microprocessor for display and
monitoring. The Fast_AC input monitors the cabinet AC input.
The multiplexed Reject Power samples and the PA Cabinet Power samples are level
clamped by U10 to protect the microprocessor from over voltage.
4.7.2.3
Fault Monitoring
Fault indications are at the input of U37, a tri-state driver that sends the information to
the microprocessor when enabled by the micro. Each of the Low Voltage Power
Supplies (A and B) is monitored by U3 and U7. Air Flow, Door Interlock and AC Phase
loss are also indicated to the micro.
Switch S3 is a selectable response disable from the micro when a fault occurs or when
the rear door is opened. Closing the switch sections 1-4 will disable the functions for
factory testing purposes.
Switch section S3-5 is the cabinet auto restart selection and is dependant on the cabinet
run timer selection S3-8 as to it’s response after the rear door is closed. If S3-8, cabinet
