Section 6 Troubleshooting

Diamond Series™

which will interface directly into the Main Controller in the event of a GUI failure.
Disconnect ribbon cable W29 from J7 on the back side of the Main Controller and
connect the PC’s COM port to J7.

A laptop loaded with the GUI program can also be connected to J6 or J35 on the
Customer Interface Board if the local GUI fails. This connection is considered a
Remote GUI connection and would therefore have limited control.

WARNING:

THE GUI EQUIPMENT IS POWERED THROUGH AN UNINTERRUPTABLE POWER
SUPPLY (UPS). AC POWER WILL STILL BE PRESENT AT THE GUI AFTER THE
INPUT VOLTAGE HAS BEEN SHUT OFF. ELECTRICAL SHOCK IS POSSIBLE.

6.2

Fault Listings

The following is a listing of the faults which can occur and that would show a fault
indication on the GUI. The faults are grouped by the screen on which they appear.
Please note that all of the GUI screens have a number in the title bar at the top, such as
Transmitter Control 4.0, Drive Chain 2.1 etc... To see what the actual fault indications
would look like, press the "Show Possible Faults" button on the individual screens.

Drive Chain 2.1

To access this screen press the MENU button in the top left corner of the GUI and then
press the "Drive Chain" button on the graphic of the Control Cabinet.

6.2.1.1

Exciter Mute

Exciter Mute interlock is not closed or transmitter control is providing exciter mute due
to some other transmitter fault. Exciter Mute is interlock 6 on the interlock connector of
the customer I/O panel. Will mute exciter output. Non-latching.
