6.2.2.6

RF Output Fault

Driver RF output is lower than set minimum. Non-latching. Just a warning. Will cause
switch to alternate Exciter/Driver if available. This level is user adjustable, see "5.7.4
RF OK indication set-up" on page 5-26.

6.2.3

Power Amplifier Module 3.1.2

The following is a listing of all faults internal to the PA Modules. The Power Amplifier
Module screen can be accessed by pressing the MENU button in the top left corner of
the GUI and then press the "Power Amp Module" button on the graphic of the desired
PA Cabinet. Use the arrows to select different modules in that cabinet.

NOTE:

The only field repairable item in the PA Module is the PA Pallet (not including
the Driver pallet). This means that the only field repairable fault is an LDMOS
Fault since it is the only one which can normally be attributed to a specific pallet.

6.2.3.1

Frequency

Channel frequency or frequency band reported by module does not match system
settings. This should match the settings in the GUI configuration screen. Non-latching.
Just a warning. Normally can only occur if a new module, not set to the proper
frequency, is inserted in the transmitter and the PA cabinet is turned on using the ON
button on the Cabinet Controller. Frequency information is only sent to the module
when the GUI ON button is pressed. Fix: Turn the transmitter on using the GUI.

6.2.3.2

EEPROM

Error was detected writing to EEPROM. A small EEPROM is used to store
configuration and calibration data inside the module. If the controller tries to write new
information to the EEPROM and it fails, the module will retain the new settings (in
voltile RAM) until power is completely removed, at which time it will revert to the
previously saved information in the EEPROM. Latching. Just a warning. Module must
be sent in for repair.
