THE DIAMOND PA MODULES ARE DESIGNED TO HANDLE VERY HIGH TEMPERA-

PERATURE. DO NOT TOUCH THE MODULES WITH BARE HANDS AFTER THE
TRANSMITTER HAS BEEN RUNNING, ESPECIALLY IN HIGH AMBIENT TEMPERA-
TURE ENVIRONMENTS. SPECIAL GLOVES HAVE BEEN PROVIDED IN THE REAR
OF THE CONTROL CABINET OR CAN BE OBTAINED FROM HARRIS, PART
#0990006483 OR GRAINGER ITEM #4JF36.

STEP 1

Turn ON all of the Control Cabinet circuit breakers except for Driver A

and Driver B (to prevent rf drive to the modules at this time).

STEP 2

Turn ON the AC power switch for the Graphical User Interface (GUI)

located in the rear of the Control Cabinet on the System I/O Panel.
Allow the GUI to boot up.

STEP 3

From the front panel, verify that the transmitter is OFF. The light bar

above the GUI will be Blinking RED since none of the PA Modules are
plugged in yet.

STEP 4

Turn ON all circuit breakers in the lower rear of each PA Cabinet. Leave

the individual Power Supply circuit breakers in the front of the PA
Cabinet(s) OFF.

WARNING:

DO NOT SWITCH OFF THE GUI POWER WITHOUT FIRST SHUTTING DOWN THE
GUI USING THE STANDARD WINDOWS SHUT DOWN PROCEDURE. DOING SO
COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF FILES AND MAY REQUIRE A KEYBOARD TO RE-
BOOT.

CAN BUS Check Out

STEP 1

Examine the row of LEDs on the front of each PA Cabinet Controller

board. Verify that the green “CAN OK” led (DS5) is illuminated. If not,
check the CAN bus for wiring errors.

STEP 2

Turn ON the PA power supply circuit breakers.

STEP 3

On the GUI, navigate to the module screen for cabinet 1 and select

module 1. If the physical module is unplugged, the GUI screen should
report a Communications (COM) failure. Firmly insert the module and
verify that the Communications Failure indicator for that module
disappears from the screen. If it remains, check the CAN bus for wiring
errors.
