Section 6 Troubleshooting

6.2.3.14 Over Drive

Input RF is too high. Trip point set to 1.9dB above nominal or approximately 23mW
(15mW = nominal for DHD = ADC reading of 800 determined by pot in module).
Modules does 3-strike.

6.2.3.15 Low Input

Input RF is too LOW. Module continues to run. Warning only. ADC reading = 10 or
less. Non-latching.

6.2.3.16 AGC Unlock

Module AGC circuit is unable to maintain constant gain. Module will 3-strike and then
fault is latched and module is turned off. Module gain is 46dB. This fault means the
DAC number for AGC Out 1 and/or AGC Out 2 (from the Module Control Board) has
reached "0" or "4000" and the module gain is still not 46dB. The 46dB gain is based on
both the input and output power ADC numbers being equal (usually somewhere close
to 800). Press the "SHOW" metering button to see the DAC and ADC readings.

AGC Out 1 and AGC Out 2 are used to control the module phase and gain. The factory
numbers are given in the factory test data. Moving them up or down together will
change the module gain while moving them in opposite directions will change the
module phase (relative to the other modules in the cabinet). Changing the phase and
gain of all of the modules in a cabinet the same, allows for cabinet phase and gain
matching for multiple cabinet transmtters. Any phase or gain adjustments in the field
will cause these numbers to vary from those recorded in the factory.

6.2.4

Amplifier Cabinet Control 3.1

The following is a listing of faults sensed by or on the Cabinet Controller. The Cabinet
Control screen can be accessed by pressing the MENU button in the top left corner of
the GUI and then press the "Amp Cab Control" button on the graphic of the desired PA
Cabinet.
