Fields in the STUN menu

Field

Description

STUN server

Enter the name or the IP address of the STUN server.

STUN = Simple Traversal of User Datagram Protocol (UDP)
Through Network Address Translators (NATs)

A STUN server is required to allow VoIP devices access to the
internet behind an active NAT. This determines the current
public IP address for the connection, which is used for precise
remote addressing.

Maximum number of characters: 32.

Port STUN server

Enter the number of the port to be used for the connection to
the STUN server.

The default value is

C-FE

. A 5 digit sequence is possible.
