Chapter 3 - System Setup

Unpacking the Wooden Transportation box

After completing a visual inspection of the Transportation box and 

Drop/Tilt

 indicators, proceed 

unpacking as follows:

1.) Remove sealers and unlock two locking levers at two sides of the Box as shown in 

Figure 3-6 on 

page 3-9

2.) Remove the packing slip (shipping consignment note) detailing the contents of the Transportation 

Box, keep close to hand and be ready to mark the check list.

3.) Remove the surface packing material (paper pad, silica gel, 

etc

.). Continue to remove additional 

packing material as applicable during the following procedure steps. 

4.) Carefully remove the box containing the probes. 

5.) Take out the package containing the following accessories: cables (AD/DC; ECG; Network), 

Isolation Box, and software CD.

6.) Verify the content against the Delivery Note.

7.) Remove each of the boxes (one, two, or more, depending on options ordered) containing the 

peripherals and Vivid 

i 

n and Vivid q N.

8.) Carefully remove the Vivid 

i 

n and Vivid q N ultrasound unit from the box and place at a flat and 

stable location- refer to 

Figure 3-8 on page 3-11

.
