2. Operating System and Equipment
Fog lamp
- Turn the ignition switch or start switch to
"ON" position.
- Turn the light switch to the position for
side marker lights or low beams.
- Turning the fog light switch from "OFF"
to Position turns on front fog lights.
Turning the fog light switch to Posi-
tion turns on both front and rear fog
lights. Turning the fog light switch again
turns off the rear fog lights but the front
fog lights stay on. The corresponding in-
dicator and light will be lit on the
instrument cluster.
- When the headlights switch is turned off,
the front and rear fog lights go out.
Headlamp unturned-off warning
- With the ignition switch in or start switch
"LOCK" / "OFF" Position, if the low
beams or high beams are turned on
when you open the driver's door, the
system gives a loud alarm sound and
the combination instrument displays
"LIGHTS ARE LIT".
Warning
When the vehicle is moving at night or
in poor visibility, do not turn on the side
marker lights only. Failure to do so can
cause accidents easily. Turn on low beams
when driving at night or in poor visibility
environments.
Headlamp lag turning off function
- Within 10 minutes after the ignition
switch or start switch turned to the
"LOCK" / "OFF" position if you turn the
headlight switch to other position from
the OFF position and then turn it back to
the OFF position within 2s.
- If this function is activated, the low-
beam lamp will light up for 30s. If any of
the doors (including four doors, engine
compartment cover and hatchback) is
opened within 30s, the time is reset and
the low-beam lights up for 80s. If all
doors are closed, the time is reset and
the low-beam lamp lights up for 30s. If
another door is opened in this course,
the time is reset and low-beam lamp
lights up for 80s.
