3. Driving Directions
Warning
• The driver must carry the ignition
key when leaving the car. Other-
wise, the occupants in the vehicle
can start the engine or turn on the
electrical equipment accidentally,
resulting in serious personal injury
or death.
• When parking the car, you must ex -
ert parking brake. If parking, do not
let any occupant stay in the vehicle.
Otherwise, the car may move due
to your careless release of parking
brake.
• Do not park the vehicle near flam -
mables and explosives. Park the
vehicle in the proper direction. Do
not let the exhaust gas blow out the
plants, causing damage to the green
belt.
Introduction of operating mode of
G-DCT transmission
For a model with G-DCT transmission, the fol-
lowing four operating modes are available:
1.
Normal mode: also called optimal mode,
which takes into account both power per-
formance and economy, so it is widely
used. With the shift lever in D, the ve-
hicle will operate in this mode.
2. Sports mode: This mode is partial to
power performance. With the shift lever
in Position S, the vehicle will operate in
this mode.
3. ECO Mode: This mode is partial to econ-
omy. When in ECO mode, TCU uses the
fuel-efficient shifting strategy and the air
conditioning takes the appropriate eco-
nomic strategy as well. When the shift
lever is in D and in the normal mode,
press the button on the shifting panel
once to allow the transmission to enter
ECO mode. Then, the "ECO" indicator
light is lit in the instrument cluster. Press
the button again to return to D.
4. Manual mode: This mode satisfies some
driving pleasure through autonomous
control of gear. With the shift lever in D,
press the button on the shifting panel
twice to allow the transmission to enter
manual shift mode. For details, see "M"

Hint
ECO mode, also known as the economy
mode or fuel-efficient mode. Your vehicle
can enter ECO mode with the shift lever
in P, R, N, or D. But, it works only with the
shift lever in D.
When in ECO mode, if the shift lever is
moved into Position S, switch to sport
mode. If the shift lever is moved out of
Position S, still return to ECO mode.
ECO mode is provided with power-off
memory function, that is, the transmission
is still in ECO mode when you start the
engine again after engine stall.
