2.5 A/C system
2.5.1 Overview
The A/C filters can remove the pollen and dust
brought-in by the heating and air-conditioning
system from the outside.
Be sure to replace the A/C filters at scheduled
maintenance.
See the Maintenance Schedule in the Warranty
Booklet.
Shorten the replacement interval of the A/C
filters if you often drive in the urban area with
heavy smoke caused by factories and diesel-
powered vehicles. Try to replace the A/C filter
as soon as possible if the air flow from the
heating and cooling system is not smooth as
usual.
Warning
• Activate the Recirculation Mode
as needed. Deactivate it when not
needed.
• Blurred windows easily increase the
risk of accidents and casualties. For
the sake of safety, all the windows
must be free of ice, snow and fog to
ensure clear vision.
• Turbid air in the vehicle will cause
the driver to be fatigued, depressed
and distracted, resulting in acci-
dents and casualties.
Note
• The expertise and special tools are
essential to the diagnosis and repair
of air conditioning systems. There-
fore, if your air conditioning system
fails or is suspected, be sure to go
to your authorized GAC Motor deal-
er to have it checked.
Hint
• When the outside temperature and
humidity are high, moisture in the
air will condense on the evaporator
of the refrigeration system, result-
ing in water droplets dripping from
the evaporator which form water un-
der the vehicle. This is normal, and
there is no need to fear.
• The air inlet in the front of the front
windshield should be unblocked,
and make sure it is not clogged by
snow, ice and leaves. Make sure
the heating and cooling are normal.
Prevent the front windshield from
fogging up.
• All the windows and the moonroof
must be closed for the air condition -
ing system to play a maximum ef-
fect. If the vehicle has been exposed
to the burning sun and it is very hot
in the vehicle, you should briefly
open the windows to dissipate the
heat and accelerate cooling.
