3. Driving Directions
Electronic parking brake (EPB) (ap -
plicable to some models)
This model is equipped with the new generation
of motor-integrated caliper EPB. Through the
operation of parking switch, driver can realize
the parking and releasing functions of Vehicle.
When meeting the road condition of ramp, you
can adopt the function of starting aid; under the
circumstance of parking, after stepping down
accelerator pedal, electronic parking would
release automatically, so as to provide conve-
nient driving aid for driver.
Note
The electronic parking brake parks the
car by using fixed pull force according to
the degree of slope. If the brake efficiency
reduces, the following conditions may oc-
cur:
• The car slides downward after being
parked on slope road. At this mo-
ment, electronic parking brake will
automatically increase pull force to
park the car. If above condition fre -
quently occurs, please contact the
GAC repair center to inspect park-
ing brake.
• After self-energizing effort, the ve -
hicle continues to roll back, use the
service brake for hill-holding, and
drive the vehicle on level ground.
Contact your dealer for maintenance
as soon as possible.

- To apply EPB, pull up the EPB switch
button in the direction of the arrow until
the indicator light in the instrument is
lit, and this indicates the parking brake
has been applied to prevent rolling over.
- When the vehicle is stationary, or even
the start switch is turned to the "OFF"
position, EPB can be applied. When you
leave or park the vehicle, make sure the
PB is applied.
