4.4.3 Coolant
Coolant function
Coolant is a major contributor to your engine’s
anti-freezing and anti-corrosion.
Coolant specifications
This coolant should always be a mixture of
50% antifreeze and 50% water.
Before leaving factory, the cooling system is
filled with coolant mixed with pure water and
50% DF-6 cooling additive with anti-freezing
capacity of -35
℃
. This coolant can prevent
corrosion of alloy parts of cooling system and
water scales and improve coolant boiling point.
Density of coolant should not be less than 50%.
No matter whether it is necessary to prevent
freezing, coolant mixed with additive should be
used in full year.
If the anti-freezing capability of the coolant
needs to be increased, you can appropriately
increase the proportion of the additive. But,
the concentration of coolant should not exceed
65%. Otherwise, the anti-freezing capability of
the coolant will be reduced, resulting in weak-
ened cooling effect, on the contrary.
To get optimal corrosion protection, the system
must be filled with the coolant mixed with pure
water and at least 50% of DF-6 cooling addi-
tive.
Warning
• The coolant must be stored in the
original container. Keep both the
coolant and the used coolant out of
the reach of Children.
• Do not store the coolant in a food
container or other non-original con-
tainer to avoid confusing, resulting
in poisoning.
• Make sure the anti-freezing capabil -
ity of the coolant is sufficient in cold
weather. Add enough DF-6 additive
based on the environment tempera -
ture. Otherwise, the coolant may
be frozen, resulting in the vehicle
shutdown. In addition, the driver
and passengers will be exposed
to severe cold due to the disabled
heating system.
