Configure SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) on this page. Simple Mail Transfer Protocol is
the message-exchange standard for the Internet.
The Switch is to be configured as a client of SMTP while the server is a remote device that will
receive messages from the switch that alarm events occurred.
Web Interface
To configure SMTP Configuration in the web interface:
1. Click Event Notification and eMail.
2. Specify SMTP Configuration parameter.
3. Click Apply.

Parameter description:

Mail Server :
The IP address or hostname of the mail server. IP address is expressed in dotted decimal
notation. This will be the device that sends out the mail for you

User Name :
Specify the username on the mail server.

Password :
Specify the password of the user on the mail server.

Sender :
Specify the sender name of the alarm mail.

Return Path :
Specify the sender email address of the alarm mail. This address will be the "from" address
on the email message.

Email Address # :
Specify the email address of the receiver.
