13.1
General notes
Repair and conversion concept
The Hauser repair and conversion concept provides for the following:
• The measuring devices have a modular design.
• Spare parts are grouped into logical kits with the associated Installation Instructions.
• Repairs are carried out by Hauser Service or by correspondingly trained customers.
• Certified devices can be converted into other certified devices by Hauser Service or at
the factory only.
Notes for repair and conversion
For repair and modification of a measuring device, observe the following notes:
• Use only original Hauser spare parts.
• Carry out the repair according to the Installation Instructions.
• Observe the applicable standards, federal/national regulations, Ex documentation (XA) and
certificates.
• Document every repair and each conversion and enter them into the
W@M
life cycle management
database.
13.2
Spare parts
• A few interchangeable measuring device components are identified by a spare part nameplate.
This contains information about the spare part.
• The connection compartment cover of the device contains a spare part nameplate that includes
the following information:
– A list of the most important spare parts for the measuring device, including their ordering
information.

There, all spare parts for the measuring device are listed, including the order code, and can be
ordered. If available, the corresponding Installation Instructions can also be downloaded there.

Example for spare part nameplate in connection compartment cover
Measuring device serial number:
• Is located on the device and spare part nameplate.
• Can be read out via the "Serial number" parameter in the "Device information" submenu.
