10.8.2 Write protection via lock switch
Unlike write protection via user-specific access code, this allows write access to the entire operating
menu - other than the
Contrast display
parameter - to be locked.
The values of the parameters are still visible, but can no longer be changed (except for
Contrast
display
), either via the local display, CDI interface or HART protocol.

Loosening the securing clamp and unscrewing the electronics compartment cover.

Pull out the display module with a gentle rotation movement.

To make it easier to access the lock switch, attach the display module to the edge of the
electronics compartment.

Installing the lock switch (WP) on the main electronics module in the ON position enables the
hardware write protection. Installing the lock switch (WP) on the main electronics module in
the OFF position (factory setting) disables the hardware write protection.

If the hardware write protection is enabled, the -symbol appears in the header of the
measured value display and in front of the parameters in the navigation view.
