Practical Use of the PR-1000HD —
Importing Materials
1.
Connect your USB memory card reader or USB storage to the USB connector of
the PR-1000HD.
2.
In the lower right of the Edit mode screen, click the [Import] button.
The "Import Material" dialog box will appear.

In the "Drives" list, select the drive from which you want to import.

In the “Folder” list, select the folder that contains the material.
5.
In the "Materials" list, select the desired material and click the [Import] button.
Don’t remove the memory card, USB memory, or USB hard disk drive while material is being
imported. Doing so may cause the file to be damaged and may cause problems with the system.
6.
When you’re finished importing, click the [Close] button to close the dialog.
* Before you disconnect the USB memory card reader, USB memory, or USB hard disk drive, you must click
the [Close] button to close the “Import material” dialog.

manual of your computer and
of the video editing software
you’re using.
Video you’ve created on your
computer can also be imported
by using the HDV (DV) export
function of your video editing
software and the Capture
function (p. 76) of the PR-
1000HD. You can also use the
network capability (p. 100) to
copy material from your
computer to the PR-1000HD.
You can not use the material
shorter than one second.

Select materials
If a drive is not displayed, click
the [Rescan] button in the
dialog box.
